Yes, they actually keep two live lions in their very own habitat in the center of campus. They live next door to the university president. We watched the keeper feed Una (the lion in the picture) with his bare hands. He stuck his fingers in her mouth and tugged at her teeth. It's quite the farce, really, but you can't take risks with wild animals like that. The second picture features a lion holding a book of "knowledge" He's perched in the victory garden, underneath the eternal flame (which is only eternal when the football team wins.)
